The home has twelve places. One woman's entire monthly care — room, food, counseling, case management, transportation — is $500, the whole number. When twelve churches each carry one place, the ongoing care of every woman in this home is covered, and every other gift is freed to grow the work. Each church is named, publicly and gratefully, for the place it carries.

A one-year program, a real address, and a board that already knows this work
Mercy Manor is a Christ-centered residential program for adult women facing addiction, prescription dependency, the aftermath of abuse, or homelessness. Our board includes a Hood County Crime Victim Liaison, a nurse who built a 24-bed women's recovery program in Edmonton from nothing, and a healthcare governance executive — this isn't a new idea being tried out, it's known work being carried further. Churches and partners walking with Mercy Manor
Mercy Manor is being carried by a growing circle of local congregations. Active church supporters include Acton Methodist, Acton Baptist, Tolar Stonewater, and Granbury Church of Christ — and we are reaching out to more churches, Bible-study groups, and Sunday-school classes across Hood County.
To open the door to employment for the women we serve, Mercy Manor is also forging memoranda of understanding with Forward Training Center and Texas Workforce — partnerships that help a woman move from the program into real work by the time she reaches month five, when she begins contributing toward her own care.

From month five, every woman in the program is expected to be working — that's how the model is built. Financial literacy, job training, parenting classes, and recovery support offered by your organization can plug directly into our life-skills curriculum.

Does Mercy Manor work with government agencies and courts?
Mercy Manor is a voluntary program, not a court-ordered placement, but we regularly coordinate with caseworkers, probation officers, and county agencies as part of a woman's referral and support plan.
Can our business or nonprofit partner with Mercy Manor?
