Ten jobs stand between this building and her first night here.

Mercy Manor owns its building. Now it has to become bedrooms. Every stage of that work is listed below with what it should cost and when we expect it done. When a stage is finished it gets stamped, and it stays on this page so you can see how far we've come.

Costs are rounded planning estimates drawn from early contractor pricing. They are not a final bid. The target windows allow for overlap between trades and for gaps between crews, and the order may shift once a contract is signed. We will update this page when that happens.

Take part

There is more than one way to get a stage stamped.

Sponsor a stage

A family, a Sunday school class, a business or a church can take on one stage, in part or in full.

Bring your trade

Electricians, plumbers, framers, painters and flooring crews: donated labor takes real cost out of this job.

Give materials

Lumber, drywall, paint, fixtures, flooring. If you supply it or can get it at cost, we want to hear from you.

Pray it through

For the crews, for safety on site, and for the women who will sleep in these rooms.

Questions

About the renovation

How much will the renovation cost?

The work is planned in ten stages that together come to about $122,000. That figure is a rounded planning estimate drawn from early contractor pricing. It is not a final bid, and we will update this page when a contract is signed.

When will the work be finished?

We expect the work to run through the winter, with the last stage finished around February 2027. Some stages overlap and there will be gaps between crews, so each stage on this page carries its own target window. Each is stamped with the date it is completed.

Can I help pay for one specific stage?

Yes. Use the form on this page to tell us which stage you have in mind, whether that is part of it or all of it, and we will follow up with you directly about how to direct your gift.

I work in the trades. Can I donate labor or materials?

Please ask. Licensed tradespeople, suppliers and experienced volunteers can take real cost out of this project. Tell us what you do in the form on this page and the board will be in touch.

Why doesn't this page show the address or photos of the building?

Mercy Manor keeps its location private to protect the women who will live there. Progress here is reported in words and dates rather than photographs of the property.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Mercy Manor Home for Women is a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 93-2122542. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
